Lena completed their undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in the summer of 2024, in Environmental Conservation and Society. In Dr. Chaves lab, they have assisted with program evaluation partnered with Humble Hikes, a nonprofit whose aim is to get underrepresented youth into outdoor recreation. Lena also works as a research technician in the lab, assisting Aida Bagheri with MS her research on outdoor recreation and environmental civic engagement.
